Best Safety Record
l Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. has achieved the best safety record in the category of total recordables among large-scale chemical manufacturers in the U.S. for 2001, according to Responsible Care performance measure data recently released by the American Chemistry Council. It is the fourth consecutive year it has won the honor. Regarding the total recordable incidence rate, Air Products improved 13% with an incidence of 0.83 per 200,000 employee hours worked versus 0.94 last year. The industry average for large companies was 1.85.
